To obtain an overflight permit for Angola, you'll need to submit your request to the Angolan Civil Aviation Authority (INAVIC-NICA Luanda) well in advance of your planned flight. It's recommended to initiate the process 7 working days before your intended flight date. If your flight requires a landing in Angola, you'll need to obtain a landing permit. The landing permit requirements generally include the same documentation as overflight permits, with additional considerations, some documentation are not necessarily required; you just need to keep them ready and valid in case they are needed for the permit application.

When applying for an overflight or landing permit, you might need to provide the following documents:

- Air Operator Certificate (AOC)

- Aircraft Registration Certificate (AR)

- Certificate of Airworthiness (CoA)

Navigation Fees:

Angola charges navigation fees for overflights. These fees can vary depending on the type of aircraft, route, and duration of the flight. Be prepared to cover these fees as part of the permit application process.

Basis: MTOW + distance flown within Luanda FIR

  • 21 to 50 ton = USD 2.13 x 6 for distance 751 - 2000 km

  • 21 to 50 ton = USD 2.13 x 14.4 for deistance 2001 - 3500 km

  • x24 for distance over 3500 Km

Landing Charges:

In Luanda International Airport


Basis: Maximum take-off weight

Up to 25 = 3.75 USD per ton or part thereof

For each additional tonne 7.25 USD

Minimum charge = 25.50 USD


Parking Charges:

First two hours free there after:

  • Traffic area USD 0.11 per ton


Lighting Charges:

10% of the landing charge
